Giclee print of an Antique engraving of The Domestic Peacock. Printed on acid Free cotton rag paper with archival inks. This bird print was illustrated around 1854 in Paris, France. It was a magical time in printing where the tiny brushes used in water coloring the image, new printing techniques and attention to the smallest details made some of the prettiest images you will find. This print was originally about 9 inches tall! The original image was scanned and edited by CFA Editions and is a beautiful example of early French Natural History Studies. This new reproduction print is the highest quality reproduction on the market and the colors are not only gorgeous but also have a light fastness of 160 years (aka will not fade for a long time) It measures 24 inches wide and 36 inches tall.
